Our Process
During the on-site visit we discuss what areas require painting, including specifics like walls, ceiling or trim. We also cover colours and paint type preferences.
Once we are in agreement about what the project entails, we will make a list of what needs to be completed.
All of the information and the scope of work will be transferred to the quote document detailing all of the work to be completed for the project, along with individual costing of each item, payment terms and methods.
Interior painting requires multiple visits so we will need to arrange access to the house. Depending on your preference, we can arrange visits with or without you being present.
- Our painters arrive at the site with the project manager for introductions and all of the materials necessary for the tasks planned that particular day are delivered. Access to the house is discussed and agreed-upon.
- The client prepares the house for painting, i.e. remove artwork from walls, moves furniture to the middle of the rooms and removes any window dressings.
- The painters and project manager will arrive for introductions. Access to the house will be discussed and agreed-upon with homeowner.
- The prep process starts with painters setting up their paint and supply area on a dropcloth and protecting floors and furniture with plastic and drop cloths.
- Caulking and hole filling begins throughout the area that requires painting.
- Chosen paint/colour(s) is applied to the agreed-upon areas as per the scope (e.g., wall ceiling and trim) typically one coat on the ceiling and trim and two coats on the walls.
After we finalize the painting, our interior painters will remove all garbage, empty paint cans, and other debris from your home. We will label leftover paint and leave it with you for future touch-ups. Our crew leader will carefully inspect the completed interior painting job to ensure it meets our high-quality standards.
The project manager and the homeowner inspect the work done and determine if any touch-ups are required. If needed, touch-ups are completed at that time. The satisfied customer then signs off on the project.
After the customer signs off on the completed project, payment arrangements are made as per the terms and conditions outlined in the quote.
